LAMDA
Ages 8+
LAMDA exams are a fantastic way to showcase your skills as well as teach discipline. LAMDA Exams are recognised by Ofqual. In addition, LAMDA accredited examinations at level 3 and above are recognised by the University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) points system.
LAMDA examinations take place during the Winter & Summer Term and children entered are given full support in preparation, however, it is anticipated that parents will do the same at home.
Exams can be taken in:
Acting - Devising Drama - Verse & Prose - Musical Theatre
Learners will either need 1 or 2 full terms to prepare for an exam. This means that learners usually have one term off each academic year.
Singing
Professional Opera Singer and Wilkes Academy vocal coach, Louise teaches children not just to sing but how to understand how the instrument of their voice works. With this technical training and understanding pupils are given the best opportunity to achieve their very best vocals.
Pupils can work towards performance or traditional ABRSM grades or simply work on material for fun that they enjoy.
